Developing new work from material gathered on Art Licks residency

A new body of work is currently in progress responding to material gathered on a recent Art Licks residency on North York Moors. An initial work, comprising two large double sided charcoal drawings on pergamenata paper that interact with each other when placed in natural light, is informing a series of smaller works on paper. The title, 'The Pattern that Emerges', comes from Read's poem 'Moon's Farm' that reflects on relationships with land.
