Drawing Breath 16, 2020
Graphite drawings and cut out on pergamenata paper, 32 x 32 cm
In quiet moments of architectural light and shadow, buildings reveal themselves to us, they 'breathe', and invite us to be still and listen.
Following research that explored these ideas, focus of inquiry transferred to the home. Through documenting and responding to moments of light and shadow from around my home, a series of drawings emerged. 'Drawing Breath' comprises two graphite drawings (one cut out) on translucent paper that interact with each other when activated by natural light in the space.
Selected original contemporary abstract drawings from the 'All that Remains' series are currently available to purchase.
