Always Coming Back To The House
2015
Project: National Trust at Goddards
Video
This project focused on the wallpapers at Goddards, the 1927 Arts and Crafts former family home of Noel Terry designed by local architect Walter Brierley. Inspired by Lewis Carroll's 'Through the Looking Glass', a favourite of the Terry children, the exhibition comprised a video artwork projected onto the wall of one of the children's rooms, alongside selected drawings and sketchbooks that explored the conversation between the house and garden.
Exhibited: 'Goddards Reimagined', March to June 2015
'And so she did: wandering up and down, and trying turn after turn, but always coming back to the house, do what she would.' - Lewis Carroll, 'Through the Looking Glass'
